In response to "Medicare would rather buy $8000 computer than $150 iPhone app. -- (link)" by Don Homer

A couple points: it's totally reasonable that it would take some time for Medicare to react to something as new as iPhone apps.

Also, I am not sure that Medicare ought to be in the business of subsidizing iPhones for their members, because lord knows how many people would suddenly get "iPhone prescriptions" to handle their new Medicare benefit.
