I haven't read/heard about him 'backing away' from the initial apology. My only point is that intentionally or not, those pushing for this censure...

Sure, you wanna go exactly by the book, let's stretch this out until every i is dotted. But the dems pushing this now have zero room to criticize anyone from distracting from the health care debate.

I don't care about Joe Wilson, I don't care if he gets reelected. But if Obama steps up and says "move on" to his own party members, my respect for him will increase greatly. This is exactly the kind of thing he decried in his speech in the first place.
