When there's no real obstacle to ending a marriage, some people are going to enter into it more lightly than they should. Which is fine for the couple, but divorce is 'hard on everyone', as pmb says below. And devastating when kids are involved.
And again, legislation is not the obstacle I'm looking for. I'd like more people to remember that 'vows' by definition are something you're supposed to KEEP, even when times get tough.
