Bond is an imperialist and a misogynist who kills people and laughs about it, and drinks Martinis and cracks jokes, Damon told reporters.
Bourne is a serial monogamist whose girlfriend is dead and he does nothing but think about her.
Bond also had fun and was fun to watch. Thats another major difference from Bourne. And since when did monogamy become a moral virtue of the Hollywood elite? Dont know when that happened.
Bond is a man who saves the world. Bourne broods and then worries about saving his own ass. Bond uses the women around him as much as they use him. Bourne used one woman and wound up getting her killed, she probably didnt even get any good sex out of the deal. Bond can crack a smile and enjoy life. Bourne is the worlds first emo assasin. Bond movies, which at one point were ridiculed for the freedom they took from the books, are near exact recreations compared to the travesty and moral ambiguity injected into the Bourne franchise.
Bond is cool. Bourne is kind of a dick.

Now *that's* dead on.
