All but one of our cats and dogs have come straight from the street as strays or from a rescue.

The newest cat came from our vet office adoption program.
Gossamer, a pure bred Persian came from the pet store. He hates everyone but my wife. If let out of the two finished rooms in the basement he pees on stuff.
Guinevere wandered into our garage. She's a gray cat.
Tinker, the black cat, came off the streets.
Oreo, blank and white Manx mix, came from a rescue place.
Martini, a calico, came from the same rescue place.
Gypsy, an Egyptian Mau mix, came from our vet.
Snickers and Zoe (both lived to 18) were rescued from shelters.
Bo, a shepherd mix, died at 11 from cancer. He was rescued from a "friend" who had no business owning a dog.
Dex lived to 15. He was a shepherd/Husky mix from a rescue place.
Freddie, our Duck Toller mix, was a stray.
Fiona, our Jack Russel mix, was dropped on the street by my brother's place at 1 month old. She's almost 5 months old now.
