So I know it will vary, but does anyone have an idea what a psychiatrist visit costs in general? I'm seeing around $75 with more for the 1st visit.

Things are beginning to ramp up here a bit, and I don't want to make the same mistake as last year and waiting until the stress gets so high that it's too late. Based on previous experience I think that some kind of medication would be helpful to get me through the stressful times so I want to be proactive. I assume that any psychiatrist will want to have regular visits if they are going to prescribe something, and I think a monthly visit wouldn't be a bad thing. I'm trying to be proactive and start budgeting now.

My gf goes to a therapist and paid between $50 and $75 when she was able to use insurance. The guy she goes to know doesn't take insurance and - Krusty Sep 23, 09:51
