It's crazy what will set them off at that age.... We had a train go through town about 3:00am - you could barely hear it's whistle, but she started

waking up screaming around that time. Then one day she mentioned the babysitter's kids had taken her out for a walk near the railroad tracks and they'd seen a 'smooshed' kitty. The older kids told her it'd been smooshed by the train :/ Can't say for sure that was the cause of her night terrors but we suspect it was.
Oh, and happy 39th birthday to her today :)
