here is a small work dilemma.

most campuses close at 3:00 on fridays. this is an unofficial rule. if you ask a campus, they will say that they're open until 6:00.
I start at a new campus on 10/26. I have two flight options home: leave at 4:30 ($200 cheaper, gets me home 4 hours earlier), or leave at 7:10 (cheaper, far later).
what do you do?
I think I say "the earlier flight option was far less costly. if it's a problem in the future, I'll book later flights."
also perhaps important to note is that most people with my job arrive at work by 1pm on monday; I arrive when the campus opens. so I have some leverage there if I really need to use it.

I think you are okay with the early flight. Do you know when your peers are leaving?

Shouldn't be a problem. Let your peers know (if applicable). Being upfront about should help here -- nm

Easy. Take the earlier flight and use the excuse of saving them money. Worst case scenario...

is there a supervisor or someone you could check with? I would go with option 1 in any event. -- nm
