If it's truly the future, why aren't people (in their flash forwards) acting like they know about the flash forward? The exact moment of the future glimpse seems to be public knowledge. People would be throwing "flash" parties and generally acting differently than the way they saw.

So is the future everyone saw really not fixed, or are circumstances going to end up forcing people into doing what they saw themselves doing?
