16:9 -> 2812 vertical x 5000 = 14,062,500
4:3 -> 3750 x 5000 = 18,750,000
and like traditional 35mm film
3:2 -> 3750 x 5000 = 16,666,667

it's more of a digital projection issue. those differences become significant at the big screen level -- nm

especially since they need to compress current HD signals. No way, there will be the bandwidth for any more for a long time.

I doubt that. With FIOS rolling out and more like it to come, fiber to the home isn't that far away for many many people -- nm
