Which, you know, yay for technical achievements, but sort of useless for everyday consumer use.

especially since they need to compress current HD signals. No way, there will be the bandwidth for any more for a long time.

I doubt that. With FIOS rolling out and more like it to come, fiber to the home isn't that far away for many many people -- nm
