especially since they need to compress current HD signals. No way, there will be the bandwidth for any more for a long time.

and it took an extra 15 years to just make the switch to DTV, let alone HD.
nothing will change until after 2020 or 2025

I doubt that. With FIOS rolling out and more like it to come, fiber to the home isn't that far away for many many people -- nm
