then why are you stressing over getting fired? I mean, really, if you hate it so much, shouldn't you be glad?

just figure out a way to collect while you look for a new job and be thankful you got the axe. you have brilliant experience and glowing recommendations. it would be a blip to be canned. you're a contractor so it's not like you have longevity and a vested pension to consider, right?
