Trish is going to be in the hospital for the next couple days. Yesterday they put a line into her jugular vein and when I arrived there she was hooked up to a dialysis machine, for her first treatment which was 2 and a half hours long. The nurse said that it is quite a change so they gradually increase the time. Today's treatment will be 3 hours long.

They are also going to do an ultrasound or some other imaging thing on her kidneys this morning. Though they have not positively identified a cause the doctor is still confident about things turning out well, and that keeps me going.

I brought her the laptop yesterday, but that turned out to be a fizzle. The last person to use it did not put the power cord back in the bag. I did the stupid thing and assumed that everything was put away nice, neatly, and completely. I should have double checked that before I left the house. She really wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes, but that will have to wait until tonight.
