After the beating death of the studen on Chicago's South Side, there were calls for Obama to come to Chicago to address the violence.

Yesterday, two high-level Obama admin folks came for meetings. I'm curious, though:

What do people expect to come of this? What can the government do about this? I'm having trouble thinking of possible solutions that aren't band-aids on torn arteries. The real solutions need to come from within the homes and the community.
