Can't say I blame you at all. Thankfully our instructor understands that this is something we do for enjoyment and it doesn't get crazy like that.

That was just nuts. It is perfectly fine to match you up with a younger or junior student, but it should be instructional for them and also help you to grow by teaching. It should not be punitive like that. Sounds like your guy was an ass.
I hope someday you will seek out a new instructor and return to it. My entire family does it. We find it very fulfilling.
