NBC just showed a Patriot getting flagged for taunting (which he did end up doing)...except the flag was thrown before he taunted.

what really happened was a pass toward the receiver was tipped by the first defender, the safety then hits the WR in the back (legal once contact is made)...ref throws the flag for the hit on the back, I'm guessing he was thinking Pass Interference which was moot by the deflection.
Safety gets up and taunts to the WR with a arm swing type thing.
Call is taunting, again, I imagine after the refs huddled and said..."um, that ball was tipped, your Pass Interference isn't valid." "Oh shit, what can we still get them on?" "Well, he taunted." "Sounds good!"
just another WTF call by some bad refs.
