I guess my point is, the Sox are fine with 1-yr Paps extensions in the ballpark of $10M.

It's the 5 yr/$50M deal he's going to want in 2012 that they want no part of. They'll listen to offers, but I doubt they seriously shop him. He'll be in Boston next year.
