Thanks (seriously). I'll recover eventually, and I've said many prayers of thanks that is wasn't a whole lot worse (for a whole lot of reasons).

But it's just *immensely* aggravating.

The bank wouldn't let me close my accounts over the phone, stating that it was "company policy" only to close banks during an in-person visit to a branch. By the time I made it to a branch, my accounts were drained. So now I have to contest each individual transaction, which could take up to two months, on top of hours and hours of my time.

Then, my renter's insurance policy won't cover the loss of my laptop and cameras because I haven't actually paid rent to my roommate yet. Therefore, the policy is not in force since I'm not a "renter." And all we have is a verbal agreement that I'm going to pay her at the beginning of December, after I pay off a bunch of bills.

And, of course, my roommate's policy won't cover the losses either, since she wasn't the owner of the stuff.
