in the early 60s my dad said he visited the Pentagon and was able to walk right past the SECDEF's office.

the security creep that has happened in the last 40 years is amazing. Watching the footage of RFK's shooting makes you wonder what the hell they were thinking, putting him in a crowd with nothing but a couple of private bodyguards. The scene is insane.
