I don't judge them for not finding him faster as much as for creating a situation where the worst could really have happened.

from something someone said on a bb: it's not just that there's a pool behind a house, it's more like there's no gate around it, and/or the door doesn't have a child-proof lock on it, and toddlers are known to be fast. (my littlest niece almost died after falling into a pool due to a combination of issues. :/)
