dave is running the torch on the 29th, many hours away from this location. it would mean spending at least two nights in hotel (or motel, whatever is up there). he has his son at that time, who would be forced to spend new years, in a motel, in timmins. if the weather turned bad, we might not get there at all.

trust me, i tried to think of a way...
