I would presume they recognize your status, but I have to say I'm not sure.

I'm in the one alliance that only has a single US airline, so I don't have experience with how they treat each other in-country.
I would guess that United would recognize your US Airways status and grant you privileges such as upgrades as a result (though not actually grant you United status directly, it would just be based on your US elite status).
