I think if the UK courts always hanged guilty people we'd still have the death penalty, but they didn't and it sometimes took many years to prove it.

Derek Bentley got a posthumous pardon about 40 years after his death.

Texas killed an innocent person a few years ago. Course they're probably proud of that. -- nm
