just because the cost of buying a new house has fallen doesn't mean the cost of THEIR house has fallen which is the fundamental flaw in COLA figures

and of course the cost of food and stuff continues to rise.
actually my mom got totally screwed last year with cola, it bumped her a couple hundred over the limit for the senior reduction in RE taxes and that cost her almost 2,000 more a year
