I've been somewhat disappointed with iPhoto lately. The integration with Facebook and flickr is not nearly good enough

I switched to Lightroom for it's tighter integration with Photoshop, and I just export JPG that I reimport in iPhoto to use Faces and Places, without any editing.
It's a little complicated but I get the best of both worlds
