Basically, Mark Reynolds was called up 3 days after Tim Lincecum. Both are outstanding young players, but those three days are the difference between Lincecum being arbitration-elligible and Reynolds not.
Reynolds will likely make under $1M next season, Lincecum will likely earn somewhere near $10M.
