kilbo, most 2nd gen SSD hard drives (i.e. almost anything you find at Newegg these days) are reliable, but you're looking at about $100 for 32Gb.

I'm examining the much more rare PATA SSD drive for my wife's old laptop. Those are less reliable, and much more expensive.

I'm looking at the WD Black. Seems to score almost as good as the Raptors for $60 for 500GB - oblique Oct 21, 13:10 4
