it will work with a mac, a raid is a type of storage for servers. -- nm

You could easily set up a software RAID in a Mac Pro with its 4 bays, but because there's no gain in speed I don't see the point -- nm

Good idea. Makes it easier to start from scratch if the system fails. I now have 4 TB in my Mac Pro, 4 drives, 6 partitions -- nm

It would for now, but I don't backup the Download Folder, the PC drive, the TV shows drive and other stuff I wouldn't mind losing
