Most people (I would think) don't know about this stuff. They want to put in discs, and run it, and it be done.

It's just easier to buy a new computer with it already on it when they're ready to upgrade.

I think it's more of the face that the installer won't offer you to upgrade to 64-bit. Tthere isn't separate 32-bit and 64-bit upgrade CD. You just
