A)This was very much a case of judging the contestants on their overall performance, not just their performance in that challenge.
B)Her problems were largely ones of too much ambition, rather than too little, I think those are easier for the judges to overlook.
C)Laurine's problems also involved overall poor communication with the kitchen. It wasn't just that she wasn't covering for the gaps well, the kitchen was depending on her for information and some of those gaps were because of her.
