I think, depending on your actual real pain level, it can be a non-issue.

I had oodles of harder stuff than that, and it was rare for there to be any altered feeling. there was some floatyness at times, esp. with some harder IV stuff; but no "happy high" kind of thing, as far as I recall.
this wasn't a thing for me, fortunately; but apparently you can build up a tolerance/dependency that makes taking whatever just make you feel normal and functional.
