FYI... I got the Windows Professional $29.99 student deal and ended up trying the key they gave me with a retail Windows 7 iso

that I secured through other means. It worked fine and activated fine.

When I did the $29.99 deal I decided against paying $13 extra for them to send me a bootable dvd version, and then found that their 2.3 gig downloadable version would work if burned, but wasn't bootable.

I got into the student deal by signing up for a terpalum.umd.edu email address. No problems using that for the deal either.
