Another basic webmaster question: what's the easiest way to add password protection to a page/site?

Preferably in HTML without having to install anything else server-side.

You can't do this in HTML, can you? It's definitely a server-side thing, or requires higher level coding than HTML (like PHP). -- nm - Mop (231 lbs) Oct 23, 12:50
Nothing in HTML (that I can recall off the top of my head) will password protect a page. It's almost always done at the server side using .htaccess - kilboooo! Oct 23, 12:50
