ok, you got the exclude username thing that i thought of but maybe you can also put some check boxes next to the search term for subject, message, username, handle, link, link title.
that way we can limit the search to only certain fields
also, I noticed that if I have a tab for a search and one with the board, the board won't update until the search finishes. of course this may be moot now since I haven't tried the new search algorithm.
