while i might be tempted to hang around, having been through it, i sort of understand where he is coming from.

supporting someone going through that is a *HUGE* commitment, and for someone you deeply care about, you don't mind, you just make it happen. but, he really WON'T be much good to her if he's there only out of guilt.
