A relative is wanting to break into the DSLR hobby for Xmas, and this seems to be the best priced entry-level option for DSLRs (aside from the Nikon Target deal if you were lucky enough to find one). Sure, it's "last year's" model, but it seems to have been regarded very highly by pro reviewers and average photographers alike.

It seems Fry's is trying to clear out their stock of the E-510. It says B&M was available at "most stores" but it was only available online in my area (Austin/Houston, TX).

That seems pretty great. I was happy enough with my Pentax k2000 I just got for $500. Though it came with an 200mm lens as well. -- nm - Dr.Vermin Oct 27, 14:49
