rule of thumb for us old school shooters, don't handhold slower than your focal length

of course the guys that came up with that were shooting 4x5's I shot medium format and the 80 was normal.
with a flash and a slow shutter (drag) you can go 1/15th (leica and other non mirror flappers could do that if careful without a flash)
brace the camera against something like a pole or tree, a parking meter, traffic sign
