Played with some ST numbers today ... looks like the busiest day of the week on ST (as far as system load is concerned) is ... *drumroll*
|
Humpday.
Amusingly, it has a giant hump (at around 10AM Pacific) in the charted data, on hump day.
Monday is also a very strong contender.
Saturday is the least-intensive day on ST.
(And again, this is just about system load - the higher the load, the slower the server will behave ... sort of an indicator of how hammered the site is)
The highest average is 15, which Monday and Wednesday tie for (rounded). In unix parlance, this would be a load average of 0.15, which is peanuts. The hump on Wednesday at 10AM is 49, or 0.49 ... that's a bit more intense than peanuts, but still not too bad.
When we had that major traffic storm in september, the system load peaked at about 1300, I think. 13.00 in unix terms. Regular, valid traffic never gets it that high :)
