In response to "that's a lot different than the $894 billion net cost figure that the CBO put out last week" by znufrii

I just saw it this morning. I know that the $894B is only the cost of the extension of coverage to the uninsured.

And that other components of the House bill, like closing the "donut hole" in Medicare drug coverage, are excluded from that figure. That is likely the discrepancy, arguing over how much of the cost of the bill should apply to Obama's $900B target.
