You may disagree with this, but I see the tea parties as protesting policy, not 'government' or the admin. as a whole.

You can find a crazy sign or two, but I don't see the tea parties as 'protests against the government'.
These are citizens looking to have their voice heard in regards to specific policy decisions: bailouts, spending, cap-and-trade, health care, etc.
When the admin. plays favorites based on who supports or condemns their policies (or helps organize citizens who support or condemn their policies), then it starts to look petulant at best and Orwellian at worst.
IMHO.
