Casper,

What can I say? I've been super busy at Heaven is a Half-Pipe continuing to work on all my tricks. I'm talking the stationary deck flips, grabs, and spins. I'm talking working on my rail grinds, adding a bit more flair and style.

Eddie always said I looked rigid on the pole. Ha! Ha! Rigid on Skittles' poll maybe.

And, of course, I'm working overtime on my bowl stuff. I used to not really care for big air, but the crowd really likes it. I have full confidence the judges will realize just how complex my tricks are during a lay, but I know they'll take big applause into account. And the only way to get that is to go big.

Adam Ambrose actually may really be legit, Casper. He was there earlier today carving up the place pretty good. I got to give him some credit for his switch-over 180s. But what he seems to really excell at is sheer speed. Damn that little guy is fast. He's fourteen, and a tiny guy. Probaby hardly weighs a hundred pounds.

Skittles wants us to become friends. "He makes me think of me back in Russia."

"But you were so little back then."

"What is it? Uh, a runt?" Skittles asked me as we were walking back home for lunch. I was taking a break from boarding, and since Skit doesn't do it, it didn't seem fair to roll around anyway.

"Yeah, scrawny little runt is what he is. I can't believe he can pull those moves." I couldn't help but be more than a little indignant. And maybe becoming a little less confident I had the open tour slot in the bag.

"He has good tricks," Skittles started, but then quickly looked to me. It was almost as if he realized what I may interpet in his comments, because immedately he reached to take my hand.

I half-smirked, half-smiled. My Mishka was always a sweetheart. Even when we fight. And we do sometimes. It's never anything too serious. Mostly I think it's just that we're always in each other's space and sometimes we need to remember to give each other some room.

While I almost can't stand to be inside, Skit works very hard on his studies. Hell, even now that it's summer, he's reading a few books that he was told would be important for next year. What a nerd! Ha! Ha!

No, no, I'm kidding, Capser. I love him completely.

But I have to admit, I did feel just the slightest bit offended that Skittles seemed to be checking out my most immediate competition. There's a difference between respect and admiration, right?

Adam has dark colored eyes, brown or maybe even black. His nose is too small, his head is almost a perfect circle, and he has little red freckles on his upper cheeks. And what a stupid hair-cut. It's kinda long, but he pushes it all different ways. It's just a black, spikey, wet looking mess.

But goddamn he really can skate.

However, if we split the points on skills, maybe it'll come down to who has the best style, look, and deck. I mean, I got my sleek black and blue board with the Pac-Man ghost decal on the bottom. You better believe the crowd and judges will see a lot of it too with my newfound love of air.

Adam, or should I call him Trix, since that pretty much all he talks about: "I learned my first trick when I was seven."
"It doesn't matter who you are, as long as you got tricks."
"Last Halloween I gave them tricks AND treats."

Yeah, Casper, he really said that. I rolled my eyes, but didn't say anything. Everyone else thought it was funny. But you know what, next Saturday, the joke is gonna be on him.

*Kalki Helaku has a friend request from Eddie Palmer
*Kalki Helaku has a new message from Eddie Palmer

Oh wow! I didn't think to add Eddie as a friend. Why didn't I think of that when I saw the Pump Tour event? Lemme go see what he has to say, Casper. I'll be right back.

Okay, sorry that took a bit longer than I expected. Skittles is here too, force feeding me hot dogs for lunch. You know how much I like a good weiner in my mouth. Ha! Ha!

So, Eddie said he got some new information about the Pump Tour event. Registration starts at 8am. God, that's way too early. There is no fee to enter, but Heaven... is still charging regular gate admission of 5 dollars. Always a buisnessman, that Eddie.

Let's see...

The Tour will begin the following week, starting in San Francisco, California. The top ten will advance to continue on at the next event in Tokyo, Japan?! OH MY GOD!! Looks like I'll have to get an advance passport.

Skittles is jumping up and down and nearly knocked salt and vinagar potato chips all over the floor. Guess he is as excited as I am, huh, Casper? Don't worry, you'll come too. Having a lap top to communicate home with mom and Eddie will be vital! Hell, I may even send Miss Mayward an email if I win.

And I will win. Trix doesn't talk trash, but he sure does talk a lot of game. I don't hate him, but I will beat him. I have to!
