Generic opinion. If the WH wants to discuss policy with news outlets, they are well within their rights to pick and choose who they include.

The media has an expectation of access to the White House that is completely fulfilled by the Press briefings given by Gibbs. Any access greater than that is a privilege, not a right.

The privilege is earned by not being openly hostile to the Admin and its policies.
