We've spent 2 Christmases together. The first one was long-distance, and we saw each other a few days after. My request was, please tell me if you are going to buy something, or what you are telling people to buy you, because I need to make sure that your family and I are not buying you the same things. Sure enough, he tells his mother to buy him something and THEN tells me. So, yeah, that was fun.

Last year I had to say, "I bought you this, this and this." so he wouldn't go out and buy the items. So that made for a fun Christmas morning, since he already knew what he was getting! :)

arrggh.
