So who could've guessed that getting a job offer could actually be more depressing than continued unemployment...

Interviewed for a manager position recently, more in line with my experience and what I'd been doing prior to getting laid off... didn't get it. Now being offered a VERY entry level spot. Shit money. Shit responsibility. Be on the team I interviewed to manage. Possibility for advancement would be there eventually, but not in the near future. Essentially it'd be like the previous 8 years I put in at my old company didn't matter at all and I'd have gone absolutely nowhere in that time.
*sigh*
Not much else out there is the problem that would give me what I'm looking for at what I'm looking to make. I'm almost (but not quite) at the point where I *HAVE* to have something just for the money. This just effing sucks.
Too early to start drinking you think?
