in all other aspects, he is an idiot

I saw the coin toss portion of the show and that did bother me a little.

However, as to some other points, the school splitting last year was well covered. It is hardly a secret that some towns have oversized crowded high schools to get an advantage in football while the students suffer. Ross Perot even griped about that phenomenom in Texas during his 92 presidential campaign.

Also I currently live in a town more akin to Dillon than whatever big city Easterbrook must live in. We have three different subdivisions of McMansions that he gripes about as well as some neighborhoods that look like where Saracen lives, and some regular neighborhoods where the Taylors live. The McMansions are a function of all the real estate development and easy home loans of the late 90s, early 2000s. Farmers are in a large part millionaires in paper if not liquidity and Dillon has its share of farms.
