While driving into work today (5:00am) on a major highway, a pickup truck coming in the opposite direction crossed the grassy median and proceeded to

drive down the highway in the wrong direction. I was looking into headlights about 500 feet in front of me. I veered off quickly to the right (as did another car behind me) slowing to a stop (thank goodness there was so little traffic) and then the person in the pickup truck stopped about 30 feet away to my left. His pickup was hopping like it had one of those hydraulic systems (but I think his shocks were blown). I rolled down the window, yelled to ask if they were okay and then the person just sped up going in the wrong direction again. I called 911 to report. Not sure what became of it.

Driving in general is dangerous but you really have to be on guard when driving in the overnight/early morning period.
