Portugal had some strange to my eyes fast food chains, beyond the normal.

and there seemed to be an obsession with a lot of the chains have a meal that was somehow "Canadian". One that I remember was a tuna sandwich with a hardboiled egg on top. Because you know how we Canadians can't get enough of tuna and egg.
