do I think there will be a concentration camp in my back yard...not really. Do I know we've come a lot closer to authoritarian government in the past...sure.

That doesn't mean I'm comfortable with what's been done in the last 7 years and that it doesn't bare a supremely watchful eye. It doesn't mean that just because we've had more authority given to the Executive Branch before that we should assume they'll use the power properly this time and in every case.

As I've bleated on before, if you'd run down the list of things that have been done since Sept. 11th before Sept. 11th people would have thought you were talking about some other country.

As shocked as you are at the paranoia I am equally shocked at the apparent apathy to it.
