It was served in a large, square serving dish that -- I believe -- was an original brilliant red Fiesta Ware serving dish. Like from before WWII. Right in the center of the table. Flanked by three, round cobalt blue Fiesta Ware serving dishes full of various salsas.

And they were perfect.

Utterly ... perfect ... .
